City of Syracuse

The City of Syracuse has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the acquisition and redevelopment of a vacant property in Downtown Syracuse located at 290 East Onondaga Street and Montgomery Street, the site of the former Powelson Building. The City of Syracuse will review submissions with particular emphasis placed on:

1) those who display a proven ability to provide creative and inclusive land use and development strategies, 

2) return the site to the tax roll and increase the City’s tax base, and 

3) create permanent job opportunities for Syracuse residents.

All submissions must be received prior to 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Connecticut Brownfields Initiative announces the release of a Request for Proposals

The Connecticut Brownfields Initiative ( is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals for the Spring 2019 Municipal Assistance Program (MAP). The MAP will support entities that are eligible for federal and state brownfield assistance programs (towns, municipalities, regional planning and redevelopment agencies, non-profit organizations, Indian tribes) on various aspects of brownfield redevelopment.
